These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the DoyouKnowa (“DYKA”) platform. DoyouKnowa Ltd is a company registered in England and provides an online matchmaking service that connects clients with suitable tradespeople.

Definitions

Use of the platform

DoyouKnowa uses AI-assisted tools, including OpenAI and AI Engine Pro, to match clients with suitable tradespeople based on information provided about a job.

• The Platform is free for Clients.
• Tradespeople must register, complete vetting and maintain any applicable paid subscription.
• Users must use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
• Users must provide accurate, current and complete information.
• The Platform is intended only for people aged 18 or over.

Account registration

Users must provide accurate and current information when registering. Tradespeople may be required to complete checks including referrals, evidence of past work, identity verification and certification checks.

Fees and payments

Quotes and prices are provided by tradespeople, not by DoyouKnowa. DoyouKnowa is not a party to contracts or pricing arrangements agreed between a Client and a Tradesperson.

Matching process and communication

Clients may be matched with tradespeople through DoyouKnowa’s AI-assisted matching systems. Once matched, Clients may contact tradespeople directly by phone or email.

• Clients may be asked to leave a rating and review after work is completed.
• Clients remain responsible for evaluating the tradesperson and the services offered.
• DoyouKnowa does not guarantee that a match will result in an agreement or completed job.

User content and data

Clients may upload photos and submit job descriptions. This information, together with contact details and postcode information, may be stored for up to 12 months for matching, service delivery and quality-assurance purposes.

DoyouKnowa processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law and does not sell personal data.

Responsibilities and disclaimers

DoyouKnowa acts as a facilitator and matching service. It does not perform trade work and is not responsible for the quality, safety or outcome of services provided by tradespeople.

• Tradespeople are responsible for maintaining valid qualifications and insurance.
• Clients are responsible for assessing whether a tradesperson is suitable.
• Users are responsible for securing devices and account credentials.
• Users should notify DoyouKnowa immediately if they suspect unauthorised access or impersonation.

Suspension and termination

DoyouKnowa may suspend or terminate an account where these Terms are breached, where misconduct is reported, where information is inaccurate or where continued access may put users or the Platform at risk.

Subscriptions are non-refundable once initiated, except where required by law.

Limitation of liability

DoyouKnowa does not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, updates or emergency work may temporarily affect availability.

• DoyouKnowa does not warrant the accuracy or reliability of user-provided information.
• DoyouKnowa is not liable for indirect loss, loss of business, loss of revenue or loss of data arising from use of the Platform, to the extent permitted by law.
• Platform features may be changed, replaced or removed where reasonably necessary.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising from these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Intellectual property

Rights in the Platform and its content, including design, text, graphics, images, logos, data, software and source code, belong to DoyouKnowa or relevant third-party owners.

Users must not:

• Disassemble, decompile or reverse-engineer the Platform.
• Reproduce, modify or edit the Platform without prior written permission.
• Copy or commercially exploit the Platform or its content.

Amendments

DoyouKnowa may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes may be communicated by email, through the Platform or by updating this page. Continued use after an update may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
