We show you how many local tradespeople do that work, and when you send your request we ask up to three of the best matched whether they can take it. Some haven’t joined yet. We don’t show their details, and we approach them about your job for you.

Before a tradesperson can take your job and see your details, they have to prove their ID and show valid public liability insurance.

Yes — each tradesperson we show you is labelled with whether we have checked their ID and insurance. Your contact details only go to a tradesperson who accepts your job and has passed both checks.

We’re live across Berkshire, including Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Maidenhead and Windsor.

You can still send your request. We’ll offer to try a later date or look further afield, or keep your request and text you if a tradesperson covering your area can take it on. You can also ask us to delete it.

On average, it take less than 15 minutes to setup your profile. For insurance & ID verification, these will be reviewed as soon as possible.

Founding members get 12 months of Premium free, whilst the offer is available. It ends soon. After that, new members get a free 30-day trial of Premium. After that it’s standard pricing of £29 a month or £240 a year (VAT included), with no pay-per-lead charges or bidding tokens.

Free accounts aren’t included in KnowaChat suggestions at the moment. Premium members are suggested to customers with a “Premium · paid member” label. Paying adds only a modest ranking boost, and only while you’re well-rated — a strong track record and local recommendations count for more. Premium members also get approved leads by email and SMS the moment they come in.

Yes — you can cancel from the billing section of your profile at any time. You won’t be charged again, and your Premium access continues until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for (the current month, or year on an annual plan).

Proof of current public liability insurance and photo ID. Until we’ve checked them, your profile is shown to customers as “Not yet ID/insurance checked”, and we can only pass customers’ contact details to Premium members whose ID and insurance we have checked.

Upload your new policy from your profile. Once your insurance has expired, your profile no longer shows it as checked.
